Registration or renewal in the UNIQUE REGISTRY of the Ministry of Interior

For ethnic organizations in Colombia to be able to interact and have access to much of the institutional offers of the Natiional Government (programs, projects, etc),, they must get inscribed ,in the UNIQUE REGISTRY of the Ministry of Interior. This includes the Raizal organizations or NGOs.

The requirements to get inscribed are listed in Decree 1640 of 2020 (Article 2.5.1.5.4):

ARTICLE 2.5.1.5.4. Requirements for the registration of grassroots organizations of black, Afro-Colombian, Raizal and Palenquera communities. For the registration of grassroots organizations in the public registry of representative institutions, the following are required:

1. Have among its objectives to claim and promote the human, territorial, social, economic, cultural, environmental and/or political rights of black, Afro-Colombian, Raizal or Palenquera communities.

   
   

2. Have a minimum of one (1) year of existence, which is proven with a certificate of existence and legal representation issued by the Chamber of Commerce or the corresponding entity, not exceeding 30 days.

   
   

3. Submit the single registration form, duly completed, which will be provided by the Directorate of Affairs for Black, Afro-Colombian, Raizal and Palenquera Communities of the Ministry of the Interior, or the agency that takes its place.

   
   

4. Minutes of incorporation of the organizational form or expression, which includes the list of its members, with their respective signatures, identity document number and address, in a number not less than fifteen (15) members..

   
   

5. The statutes of the organizational form or expression, which must comply with the following aspects:

   1. Expressly establish that the members of the grassroots organization who are part of it or who are associated with it belong to the black, Afro-Colombian, Raizal or Palenquera community.

   2. Internal structure of the organization.

   3. Procedure for the election of its representatives and dignitaries.

   4. Decision-making procedure.

   5. Address for correspondence, including email if available.

      
      

6. Minutes of democratic appointment of the members of the internal structure of the organization, indicating the full names, attaching a copy of the identification document.

   
   

7. Annual activity plan, specifying activities and schedule.

RENEWAL OR UPDATE OF THE ORGANIZATION INFORMATION

If you alredy inscribed/registered, then you have to keep your organization updated in the UNIQUE REGISTRY of the Ministry of Interior. Here you can dowload the Form to Update your registry.
